On 17 May 2011 Dooley & Associates on behalf of NSW Young Lawyers participated in Law Week.
This participation involved setting up a stand at the law week expo which was located out the front of the Parramatta Local Court. The expo gives members of the public an opportunity to talk face to face with major legal service providers. The members of the public were able to obtain information regarding each group. As an example those that visited the Young Lawyers stand received the “Know Your Rights” card created by Young Lawyers as well as other information relevant to their needs.
The people we met during the expo included other legal professionals, law students, politicians and members of the public. Other groups attending the expo included; the Parramatta Community Justice Clinic, Legal Aid, the Office of State Revenue, Law Access and many more community groups.
Law Week takes place every year with numerous events all over NSW and Australia. Law Week is good way for any member of the community to find out information relevant to their legal needs.
Look out for information relating to Law Week 2012.
